Dr. Matthew Smith

Dr Matthew Smith is a UK graduate GP who qualified with Bachelor of Medicine from Southampton University in 2007 and then completed his GP training with Wessex (Dorset) GPVTS in 2013. Dr Smith relocated with his family to Australia and obtained his Fellowship with the RACGP in 2014.
Since then he has become the Practice Principal at Landsdale Medical Centre and developed a specialised interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery. He is currently the lead GP regularly performing skin checks, full body Mole Mapping and advanced skin cancer surgery.
His extended skin cancer qualifications include –
– ACCO (The Australasian College of Cutaneous Oncology) Certificate in Advanced Dermoscopy
– ACCO Certificate in Primary Skin Cancer
– HealthCert Professional Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery
– HealthCert Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery
Dr Smith also works at St John of God Hospital Subiaco where he helps develop education events for GPs in Perth. He also is involved in education at the medical centre where he often mentors UWA and Curtin medical students, and supervises and trains GP registrars.
