Dr. Robert William Songhurst

Dr. Songhurst graduated from Guy’s and St Thomas’s Hospitals, London in 1999 and following his training, where he achieved a distinction in his membership entry examinations to the Royal College of GPs, worked as a Principal Partner in his own practice for 14 years.
He moved to Australia in 2018 and furthered his training in skin cancer diagnosis and management and completed Professional Diplomas in Skin Cancer Medicine, Skin Cancer Surgery and Dermoscopy and subsequently became an Associate Fellow of the Skin Cancer institute. He is both enthusiastic and passionate about skin cancer detection and management and with his advanced training, he performs complex skin cancer surgeries, such as skin flaps and skin graft operations. He has a passion for teaching and has been appointed as a Clinical Lecturer for UWA, is a GP trainer for the RACGP, and is also the Medical Director for GP Skin Co. with a passion to mentor and teach doctors to provide the highest possible level of patient care.
